The tenets of what being a part of the generation of revival, from Genesis to Revelation, means to me, a child of God, a believer in His Word, a follower of Jesus Christ, by the Power of the Holy Spirit!
"Fasting and praying puts you in the seat where you can watch God work." Isaiah 58:6-10 (paraphrase)
On May 25, 2020, I committed to fasting my breakfast in order to spend that meal's time praying for three specific requests, and I will do so every single morning until He sends the answers!!!!
This is the first time I've ever truly fasted during a meal time in order to pray. It is an amazing experience and I look soooo forward to that time every morning!!! I spend a minimum of 30 minutes on the days I need to be at work in the mornings and on the days when my mornings are casual, I might spend 2 hours.
I have a treadmill in the room I call my "Tent of Meeting." I walk casually on my treadmill (which keeps my energy flowing so my mind will remain focused) and pray & talk out loud to the Lord (which also keeps my energy flowing without distraction).
What I didn't expect of the answers to my petitions was how much more He would speak to and show me during this prayer time!
He gave me glimpses of insight every single day that went beyond what I was petitioning for in prayer. Clearly, over the past few months, I have been in a new season of spiritual growth and pruning for what is and is to come.
When the world gave birth to the pandemic of fear over a viral attack, I gave birth to a life of BE-ing, passionate prayer and steadfast living!
On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, (week 1 of the 8 weeks of forced closure of the gym where I worked/work), I received my first vision from God...the first vision I ever had in my entire life. If you haven't received a vision from Him, then what I'm about to write won't make sense; but if you have received one or more visions, you can relate.
I was laying outside in the sun, quiet and still, practicing my human BEingness. Then, God spoke clearly to me 2 things. One of them had to do with His gifting of healing touch in me and the other was a vision of my work website that was to be.
The vision was incredible! I had the entire website in an image in my head in an instant!
Kinda like trying to describe a dream, it's hard to describe how I saw everything about the website in an indescribable image in my head. I saw the image with my spiritual eyes, no doubt about that. The only way I can explain that image in words is to have you to see the website for yourself! Every single page and all of the content was there in my head all of a sudden that sunny afternoon! So...freakin...awesome!!! :) (Don't misunderstand, I've edited many bits and pieces, as well as expounded on content, but the purpose, layout, and original main pages still exist as they did in the vision.)
The moment I got that image, I grabbed some paper and a pen, and in THREE HOURS, I had the entire website written down!
Over the course of the next week and a half, I had a few things to get done before I could make time to learn from scratch how to design and build a website, as I know nothing about technology, but once I began, it only took me FOUR DAYS to take the info from the written form to a launched website! If you know me, you know that I am not a social media person. I like my privacy and I like my peace. However, God needed to use me for a public purpose. He made it happen through me. And it just was. And it just is.
Now, again, He is using me to get the word out in a public sense. GenRev has evolved out of His orchestration of circumstances over the past few months and recent spiritual giftings, rather than an instantaneous vision.
Remember, I pray and talk to God out loud as I walk on my treadmill, so when the thought came into my head, these words immediately came out of my mouth: "I should just start my own church." Then, as if I was trying to talk myself into it, I said, "Well, it only takes 2 people. Yep. Cool! I'm gonna start my own church."
Never in my wildest dreams have I ever had an interest or a thought in my head to begin a "church." This is, again, no doubt, from God. And this is the right time. (Now, even though I keep using the words "start my own church," I need to make it very clear that "GenRev ecclesia" is not technically a church or a place of worship at all! The "ecclesia," in this case, is used to described a small group of Christian friends getting together for fellowship, accountability, and other various reasons, using biblical teachings and guidelines as the foundation of lifestyle revival.)
I recognize faith, discernment, encouragement, healing touch, and intercessory prayer as obvious spiritual gifts in myself. But since May 25th, while fasting and praying, He's revealed new ones in me: apostleship and prophecy. Hence, the birth of GenRev.
I'm very honored to have Him use me for something new in my life and necessary in the world.

Here's the chronological order of circumstances that led to GenRev: (year 2020)
- Wednesday, January 1st: set a goal to learn about angels this year—I never thought about them one way or another and I felt a calling to learn as much as I could
- January 1st-March 31st: immersed myself in study—completed a couple Bible studies, listened to numerous sermon series and read several devotionals and books about angels, spiritual warfare, prophecy and revelation by various authors/preachers/Bible teachers, including Chuck Swindoll and Billy Graham
- Wednesday, April 1st: listened to my first sermon on Elohim by Dr. Tony Evans and was hooked ever since; over the course of April and May, I purchased and listened to more than a dozen of his sermon series, including topics on spiritual warfare, prophecy, revelation, angels and fasting; his Bible teaching has been pivotal for me during this season of serious spiritual warfare in our world, country and churches—I've grown even more steadfast in my faith, in my discernment and in my passion to live in the Power of Holy Spirit!!!! (no doubt was this a season of my pruning for what was to come...GenRev!)
- Saturday, April 4th: YouVersion Bible app Verse of the Day: Isaiah 40:5 "Then the glory of the Lord will be shown to everyone. Together, all people will see it." Amen. Amen. Amen!
- Monday, May 18th: completed a short, yet impactful, devotional on fasting
- Monday, May 25th: committed to fasting and praying for three specific requests
- Tuesday, June 2nd: received email update from current place of worship announcing first week back to in-person services on Sunday, June 7th, along with the request for everyone in the building to wear a face covering
- Wednesday, June 3rd (or the 4th or 5th): "I should just start my own church—all it takes is two people" conversation with God
- Sunday, June 7th: first in-person service after 12 weeks—my soul wept as these song lyrics were uttered through the masks on their faces: "I am no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God;" immediately began writing a letter to the church pastors; after 6 hours of writing, asked a godly counsel of friends to read and give feedback for the draft of my letter, of which included my mom; in the text to her I wrote "I should just start my own church" (had a conversation about my comment a week later)
- Monday, June 8th: emailed letter to pastors after 10 hours of writing, editing, praying and asking godly counsel to read, respond and pray
- Tuesday, June 9th: email response from senior pastor
- Wednesday, June 10th: conversation with a sister-in-Christ from the same church expressing grievances, godly insights about spiritual warfare and desire for dogmatic worship, just like I had
- Sunday, June 14th: conversation with my mom about "starting my own church"—expressed she thought it was a great idea when she read my text
- Monday, June 15th: the name GenRev: from Genesis to Revelation—Generation Revival was given to me in an instantaneous moment
- Thursday, June 18th: God told me to trademark the name
- Friday, June 19th: purchased the domain name GenRev.today and launched the website with simple home, contact and blog pages; added this first blog post with only the Ephesians 6:11-12 Scripture meme; shared this website with only 4 people (my parents and two friends)
- Saturday, June 20th: insight to describe GenRev as an "ecclesia" rather than a "church;" designed the GenRev "logo" with the addition of "ecclesia"
- Sunday, June 21st: added more content to this site and edited this blog post (in order to keep the date stamp the website's official launch date!)
- Monday, June 22nd and beyond: He will bring the second person, and the third, etc., when the time is right (and I will update this post in a chronological order as things progress)
- Friday, June 26th: applied for trademark registration for the "slogan": GenRev ecclesia from Genesis to Revelation Generation Revival
- Friday, August 14th: signed and filed the approved application with the USPTO, which is under review with the examining attorney
- Wednesday, August 19th: growth of GenRev—He brought two of us together to study His Word!
- Wednesday, August 26th: He brought three of us together! Oh, what great work He is doing in us! We dedicate our time together to koinonia and prayer. We spend countless hours during our get-togethers sharing and learning from various prophetic and apostolic pastors. We've learned how to decree and declare with Authority and Power! We have already changed far beyond what any of us could have imagined! Holy Spirit is causing the warriors within us to arise more every day!
- Monday, November 30th: He brought me together with two more people (family members!) to form a second GenRev ecclesia! Each ecclesia has it's own special dynamic! We spend our time together learning and studying about the spiritual realm, as Holy Spirit brings revelation to and activation within us, while we abide in His presence!
- Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021: In jest, on our way out the door, one of the gals (of the first GenRev) said, "We should do a podcast!" Seriously...hmmm. Was that Holy Spirit throwing that out there?! We meet for 3 hours, so we definitely have enough conversation for a gifted techie to edit them appropriately for a podcast! We are looking into it, and we shall see!
- Thursday, June 3rd, 2021: Conversation with a local patent attorney (referral from a friend) to finalize the paperwork so the USPTO examining attorney could move forward with the process. I hoped to only have to pay for a 0.5 hour of time, but what I needed help with took 1.5 hours of his work time! All praise to God...His favor has been on this entire registration process! The attorney charged me $0 for his time. What a blessed seed he sowed into this venture!
- Tuesday, November 16th, 2021: The trademark is officially registered—live, active, and issued! All glory to God!
